December 5, 2008 at 2:56 pm #135971The frontpage slideshow does not initially load fully.
A page refresh/reload fixes things and the slideshow opens fine the second time.
Obviously there is a bug in the code. Does Joomlart have a solution please?

December 5, 2008 at 3:11 pm #281430Are you using the quickstart package? Or did you use the template in an older version of Joomla?

December 5, 2008 at 5:09 pm #281463J 1.5.8 and Quickstart. Why? Does the slideshow work if integrated into the basic template?

December 6, 2008 at 2:52 am #281515I was just asking to get some more details. Of course the slideshow should work in any template. Sometimes it helps to reinstall the Quickstart, but maybe you already did that?
December 6, 2008 at 10:23 am #281539i have noticed the exact same thing – installed using the quickstart and in both IE7 and FF3.

December 6, 2008 at 12:19 pm #281553Let’s go back to square 1 – the slideshow doesn’t work properly even on the JA demo in Firefox. It works OK with IE7 but with FF the page has to be refreshed to get the slideshow to open fully. I’ve tried simply viewing the demo of the Uvite template (having first cleared the cache) in FF 3.0.4 on different machines with the same result – it doen’t open,
This problem does not appear related to the quickstart package or anything I’ve done with the template. I suspect there is a conflict somewhere between the code for the slideshow and FF.
Does anyone else see this problem, or am I alone
December 9, 2008 at 3:52 pm #282023I think so too. cause it works with IE but not with Firefox…. Anyway we can´t use this template in doesn´t work with FF

December 10, 2008 at 3:57 pm #282193Hey moderator / JA developers or whoever – pay attention…..
Your club members have a problem with your Uvite template and Firefox. It seems that nobody in the forum can resolve it (including me naturally).
So do us all a favour and at least have the good grace to acknowledge there may be an issue that needs sorting, even if you cannot afford the time or effort to read this stuff or heavens forbid actually fix it.

December 10, 2008 at 3:59 pm #282194Have you opened a support ticket, rather than waiting for a response on forum?
That way you have direct access to support and JA devleopers.

December 10, 2008 at 4:31 pm #282202@ questbg – no I haven’t since I didn’t think the slideshow/FF problem was such a big deal. I’d hoped someone somewhere would have a quick fix.
However, I’m beginning to get really peeeed off now because I’ve just looked at the new Vauxite forum and guess what – there is a JA Administrator, a JA Developer and 2 JA Moderators in there fixing problems with the new template. Seems the old templates (November old??) are quickly forgotten and members’ queries ignored.

November, which year? I am using Fagus on one site, from November 2007, and I had lots of questions here on the Forum and hvae gotten lots of help as well, from moderators and others. Of course it may take some time, but help is there and it’s on the way.December 11, 2008 at 12:22 pm #282343I experience the same exact problem using latest Safari on Mac OSX 10.5.5. I see it on the Joomlart demo. First image partially loads then if you go to another page then come back to home page you see the full image.

Really? Where from?
The only thing on its way is other club members noting the same problem that the frontpage slideshow does not load properly – not in IE7 and now it seems neither in Safari….

December 16, 2008 at 11:39 am #283082I created a support request for this topic, they promised me a response should be in this topic soon. I also added this tread to the request: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/slideshow-load-bug/
Here Ja devoloper is already at work.
