Hi,
In the slideshow module, I am unable to add any html e.g., I want to add ” {{a href=”#”}}LINK HERE{{/a}} ” and it is stripped. Any way to add a link ?
I want the slideshow module to behave the same as with articles, but using an image folder. For example, I do not have hyperlinks if I’m using image folder mode (the clickable area is very large) vs. the clickable area is only the hyperlink using “images from article” modes.
Any way to fix this ?
Thanks

January 16, 2012 at 10:06 am #433990As far as I know, you can associate some description and link the entire description using following syntax, but there is no way you can link a single word from the description..
It works only when the image name exactly matches your image name.<blockquote>
<h1> Title </h1>
<p>Bla</p>
</blockquote>January 16, 2012 at 2:52 pm #434024Thank you for your reply.
This syntax works well for “images from articles” style. However, my issue is that the same code has not the same effect with “images from folder” style. In “images from articles”, I get a link on the whole description and this is what I want. However, switching to “images from folder” style, I no longer get a URL link on the whole description (e.g., it is underlined). Instead of having the description being clickable, the whole image is clickable. I only want to repeat the same style but with “images from folder”, such that the user can click on the description but not the whole image is clickable.

I am having a some how similar problem. (i.e. I would like to add a link to the slides in the slideshow). I am using the “images from articles” style and I don’t see where to type the code to add the links. In the “images from articles” style there is a “Description” box where you can type the html code but in the “images from articles” style that box is missing. Do I need to add the code in a css file? if so, could you please tell me which one?
Thanks

Then I am sorry it wont be easily possible to give link to only description and exclude image from it.

Please note that the description box comes in picture only when you are using option images from folder, as it allows you to add some description and link to each image specified folder. In case you are using option Images from articles then the description associated with the image in an article and article link is used hence description box is not required..

January 17, 2012 at 11:45 pm #434175Hello himangi,
Thanks for your answer. My initial problem is resolved, i.e. the title in the slideshow does link to the article it should be.
My problem now is that when you click on the slide description, the linked article opens in the home page instead of opening in a new page.
How can I make the linked article to open in a new page instead of in the homepage?
Thanks
M
