July 7, 2009 at 1:28 pm #142562I have three images named 1.jpg, 2.jpg & 3.jpg and have the sort order set to ascending, as I want them in a particular order.
The slideshow always starts on image 2.jpg, regardless of however I change the module params config. I’ve tried the fix at http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fixed-order-of-images-for-ja-slideshow/ but this doesn’t work.
I’ve left the code in the slideshow php file as follows (around line 44) and have the module params as per the attached file.
//Navigation
$navigation = $params->get('navigation', '');
$orderby = $params->get('orderby', '');
$sort = $params->get('sort', '');Random sort order does work, but ascending/descending dont….?
I’ve tried changing the start item to the filename ‘1.jpg’ but this disables the slideshow completely. What is the correct fix for the php file or the correct module param set-up (or both).

July 18, 2009 at 5:08 am #311429Hi dozza
It is very strangle. I checked this issue in our template again. It is working fine.
I think there are some prolems with your files.
Could you please send me your live url, admin account via PM so that i could have a closer look on the issue?
If your website still has error, i will install this module again for you.July 20, 2009 at 6:02 pm #311634I also have just 3 files, and even after playing around with the settings, it always starts with file #2.

You have to configure start item from 1 to 0.

It wasn’t working fine, as it started with the second, went to the third, then first…
However, now you’ve pointed out that the start item needs to be 0 and not 1, it has fixed the issue. Maybe your tool tips need to be slightly more helpful in explaining what effect a parameter selection has. Just a thought.
Neverthelss, thanks for the support 😀

August 31, 2009 at 3:38 pm #315875Name the files in the order you wish them to appear. I.e. Ascending alphabetically or numerically. And set start to 0 not 1.
August 31, 2009 at 3:51 pm #315879Thank’s dozza,
I’ve made a test like demo : sl-1.jpg, sl-2.jpg or with alphabetic name, no result
A other idea

September 1, 2009 at 9:24 am #315973These are my parameters attached.
My files are sl-1.jpg, sl-2.jpg & sl-3.jpg.
I’d maybe PM JA Developer and ask them to have a look for you.
