Hi everyone,
Just wondering – Is there certain image dimensions, quality that is recommended for images that comprise of the slides for the slideshow? Do they have to be 550 X 250 or can they be slightly larger or smaller and it will be taken care of by the module?
Also the arrows or the thumbnails for slideshow navigation do not show up on the slideshow, even if they are selected at the back end. What’s going on?
Help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Can you send your URL ?July 4, 2008 at 7:08 am #257927Hi,
Please remember that I am only at the testing phases now. The slides that are there now are not the production quality and they are NOT cropped right. I just wanted to test out the EFFECT of the various transitions etc.
Thanx!

you can make the slides what ever size your want, just make sure you set the hieght and width in the parameters for the module to the size of your slides. all slides need to be the same size.

I like the default size of the module (I think 550 * 250 ). So I am trying to fit the images to the module (instead of fitting the module to the images). So my question was can I have an arbitrary, slightly large images (larger than the module dimensions but all of them the same size) and the module will resize it to fit or do I have to make the images exactly the size of the module to fit?
I guess I could experiment but unfortunately it’s a bit tedious (since I am doing this on a live server) and my client’s host (GoDaddy) is a bit slow when working at the back end of Joomla!
Thanks for the help though,
Kenneth -
