Does someone know any way to present a slideshow in content?

I am loking for a stable way to present some kind of sldeshow in a column wen i have several fotos for a news.

Look at this examples:

Slideshowpro integrated in a cms, loading images form a xml file

Some kind of JS script lading images from the article with prev/next at cnn.com

JS Slideshow in a popup at bbcnews

Another example, in nytimes

The easy solution would be a swf loading images from a xml file, but putting this by hand in the article code woul be lot of work and a danger in the future.
Some kind of easy solution for this would be a must have in joomla, i woul gladly pay 50USD+ for a more reliable image solution for J!
