    😮

    OK, can someone pelase explain this?
    (see attached Images)

    It is fine on my laptop but on my desktop, this is what I get a blank white space on half the menu. The slideshow works, you can even click on the right side inthree positions and the three seperate texts show up but what is missing?

    How do then I know that my site’s visitors will not have this problem?

    Both my laptop (on whcih this works fine) and the desktop (on which this problem is showing) are fresh installations of Windows 7 Pro, and not much else and this is happening on both IE8 and IE8 64-bit on one of the PCs and not on the other one.

    No other browsers tested.

    Yes i can confirm i get the same issue.
    In Firefox it appears fine but in IE8 you simply get a white space where the thumbnails should appear.
    This can be tested out with the online demo of Ores.

    Is there a fix for this?

    Ok I checked with multiple IE versions…

    though I did not get a white box…i get a blank space in IE 5 & 6 but in IE 7 & 8 its being displayed fine without any issues…

    I think you may need to update your browser to latest IE 8 version…

    I’ve got latest IE 8 version and the problem apperars with or without compatibility mode.

    I’ve tested the joomlart demo, my online demo, my offline demo, over different pc and the bug is still there.

    with all other browser no problem at all

    Dear magoheer!

    You can make your modifycation as following:

    1) Open the file : templates/ja_ores/css/mod_jaslideshow2.css and find code:

    #ja-slideshow h3 {
    color: #101010 !important;
    background-image: none !important;
    position: absolute;
    left: 0;
    top: 100px;
    }

    and replace:

    #ja-slideshow h3 {
    color: #101010 !important;
    background-image: none !important;
    position: absolute;
    left: 0;
    top:50px;
    }

    and find codes:

    .maskDesc .ja-slide-desc {
    padding: 120px 0 20px 0;
    color: #101010;
    font-size: 100%;
    }

    and replace:

    .maskDesc .ja-slide-desc {
    padding: 80px 0 20px 0;
    color: #101010;
    font-size: 100%;
    }

    Good luck

    Dear tienhc

    thanks for your reply.

    There’s something strange ’cause I’m viewing the template on two computers with same hw and sw configuration and one pc shows me template in a right way and the other with the blank space in the slideshow module.

    This means the there’s no problem with template but with one pc.

    I can’t understand because the two pcs are twins

    Dear futureinprogress!

    Pls give more information in the testing: Which browser did you test on the problem pc? what is the version?
    You try to upgrade the version for your browser, and install some other browsers as FireFox, Chrome…. you ‘ll test the site with those browsers, if you can pls give me the link to your site, you and i try to find the bug and have the best solution to resolve this issue

    Thanks

    Hello everyone…

    I am having the exact same problem. See my previous thread and screen captures at: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-ores-in-internet-explorer/

    I changed the code in mod_jaslideshow2.css and cleared my cache and it was still not fixed. I am also running Windows 7. I need help with this. Does anyone who works for JoomlArt ever help with these things? This is the second template I have tried from JoomlArt that has problems in IE8.
