    Dear tienhc,

i’m setting up a demo site to let you see the problem. Btw even in joomlart demo site i find the white area problem.

I’ve tested Ores Template on a Vista PC with IE8, Firefox 3.6, Opera 10, safari 4 and chrome all extremely updated and only IE8 shows me the white area in slideshow module. In a Win XP computer IE8 works well.

All pc are updated with last service pack, fix, etc.

The conclusion is “The problem is visible on a pc with Win Vista and IE8”

    Thanks for your help

Yes. Same here. My browser is IE8 and up to date. I also see the problem on the Joomla Demo site. I have Windows 7 Professional at work. My roommate has Windows 7 Ultimate and my home computer is Windows 7 Home Premium. All running IE8 (as well as Firefox) and it does not work on ANY OF THEM.

So it appears to be Vista (per Daria) AND many editions of Windows 7.

Oddly enough, we checked it on our Windows 2008 R2 Server… using the exact same version of IE8 I am using and it looks fine! Hope this helps. I need a resolution on this.

    Hello,

some of my clients are complaining that they cannot see the navigation part of the slideshow either. It’s white, as per the previous posts. They’re running IE6 on Windows XP. Any suggestions and help are appreciated.

Daria… I am working on a hunch based on similar research I have been doing at my shop. Can you tell me what type of video card/driver each machine has?

Anyone any news on this? Havent seen any solutions yet, and my clients are getting impatient…
Does anyone have a replacement module that can be used to achieve the same type of functionality?

I have multiple issues with the display in IE 8..the “right” module is scrambled if there is more than one component enabled…also I have issues with Firefox, where the changes made to the color of the template do not work…whereas they show correctly with IE 8…also the menu is not working in chrome for the submenu items under the K2 heading…
I have abandoned this template for now because it is not functional, even though it has been “labeled” stable…and I now see upon my revisit today, that there is yet another “quickstart” zip file…as well as more updates on the components…
It is a very attractive template, but I can’t really waste this much time waiting for corrections…I have gone on to Rasite, which for me works wonderfully….

Hi famelink… I have the same problem and my network engineer are looking into it since noone from JA seems to be able to help. We are following a hunch based on tests we are doing with multiple computers here at my office. Can you tell me the type of video card you are using… card/driver? Thanks! Kelley

    Hi…

I would suggest that you use http://browsershots.org/ and test your URL where in it would show you screen shots of how it looks on multiple browsers. Then you could see if its your system specific / version specific issue or some bug in the template. Mainly I tested it across multiple browsers and I m not able to replicate the same issue. Looks fine.

    cnorton,

I just checked on Firefox 3.6.2, IE 8.0.6001.18702 (both in regular and compabibility view), and Google Chrome.

Never saw any problems on your website, the slideshow looks normal, not like in your screenshot.

P.S. I downloaded and installed the quickstart and did not see the problem on my installation either.
