When running IE7, I too saw this same problem, even on the Joomlart JA-Ores demo site!
I have not seen this problem using IE8, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.

April 19, 2010 at 10:30 am #340783Same problem, the right part of the slideshow module is white and the text isn’t displayed. Not even in the demo, not anywhere ( in Internet Explorer ofc ).
EDIT:
Some specs, they might help:
– Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385
– Windows 7 / 64bit
– ATI Radeon X1950XTAlso attached a screenshot of your demo site.

April 21, 2010 at 1:51 pm #341089Hi everyone,
If anyone’s curious, the problem seems to be caused by this line on affected browsers/computers: <p class=”ja-slide-thumbs-handles” style=”filter: alpha(opacity=0.1); BACKGROUND: #fff; visibility: visible; left: 0px; opacity: 0.001;” …
Oh! And I’m running a ATI Radeon X1950XT too!
Cheers,

April 21, 2010 at 3:14 pm #341093Hi,
I have ATI Radeon HD 3200, but I m not facing any problem.
I tested it using multiple IE versions using IE Tester, FF, Opera and I am not able to replicate this problem.Really speaking, one solution to try would be which I gave earlier to go to http://browsershots.org/ and see the screenshots from all browsers, this would give a better idea.
Finally upgrade your OS with latest security updates, do a virus scan and try to open the browser in Safe Mode where in it would disable all plugins – can be accessed generally in Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (no addons)
If the site displays fine using this then some plugin is creating the problem else please post on board and we shall think how to troubleshoot this issue, because basically its happening only to a few users and not all of them, hence my suspicion lies to the fact that some add-on is creating the problem.
April 21, 2010 at 5:39 pm #341106My computer is up to date with the latest security patches and virus scans run nightly automatically. I like the suggestion to run IE without add-ons. I tried that and unfortunately it didn’t work though. That one line I mentioned is mostly likely the cause on systems where this is an issue. If/when we fix it, I’ll post the fix.

April 26, 2010 at 11:55 am #341648Dear colleagues,
I removed line 191 in file: ../modules/mod_jaslideshow2/mod_jaslideshow2.php
( $E(‘.ja-articles .ja-slide-thumbs-handles’).setStyles( {‘opacity’:’0.001′, ‘background’:’#FFF’} );)
It seems to solve the problem and being OK in my IE 8 explorer. Could you please check my site on your IE explorers? It would be of a grat help for this forum.

Thanks a lot!

April 26, 2010 at 11:14 pm #341696slide show looks good! You seem to have fixed it.. One thing I would change though in the slide show, is the hover text for the buttons say sample link.. You may want to change that to your button description.
Well done!
