The slideshow light is fullscreen although the images have only 960px width.

Seems there is no slideshow container in my template ?!!?
How to change it?
Is it possible to get help with the bg-image? Is it possible to download an example-image?

What did you change on your site? I see the structure HTML source code in JA Slideshow module is different. Would you like to pm me the info of your site: admin login, FTP account, I will help you to check it.

I fixed the problem directly on your site with the solution below
+ Open templates/ja_university_t3/tpls/default.php file
Find and change
<?php $this->loadBlock('mainbody') ?>
To
<?php $this->loadBlock('slideshow') ?>
<?php $this->loadBlock('mainbody') ?>
+ Go to Admin site -> Extensions -> Template manager -> Open ja_university_t3 – Standard template style and set the slideshow position you have added to None
