    in the captions area of my slideshow module configuration I mod the caption which shows up fine and then I place the url as &url=http://www.mysite.com/something.php and it will not work at all. Am I missing something? I tried using quotes, inserting the # ahead of the url and even stripping off the absolute path and nothing seems to work.

    Has anyone gotten the links to work? Anyone have a clue?
    Seems to be an issue with the = sign as soon as it sees the = sign. It truncates the rest of the url. So if I add index.php?option=com_facileforms&Itemid=134 all I see is http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?option
    I tried using quotes, double = and a and nothing seemed to work, thought maybe it was a php parsing deal or something still don’t work.

    I AM trying to figure this out 😀

    Okay! My Links are working, Here is what my Params look like:

    1.jpg:caption=Rick and Fawn in Florida&url=http://picasaweb.google.com/oipunx/Savannah06
    2.jpg:caption=After the Proposal – Valley of the Oaks&url=http://picasaweb.google.com/oipunx/NewOrleans06

    It looks like you might want to install ArtioJoomSEF from here for Search Engine Friendly URL’s(to get rid of all =’s). It’s easy to install and configure, that way when you add a link in the caption it won’t have any ‘=’ in it, just a URL like this: http://mydomain.com/module/item.html let me know if you need help with this.

    is that mean i am using SEF tools, i can’t use the mod link??

    I appreciate the reply, I’m sure that would work if I could get the SEF to work. I loaded it updated my .htaccess and it broke my whole site. Kept getting 500 server unreachable errors. Documentation says that there must be something wrong with the .htaccess file if we see the 500 errors.
    There is got to be a more simple solution. Would be great if one of the developers would actually reply. They code this stuff should be a quick simple answer for them.

    I finally got the SEO (standard Joomla) to work and that did the trick with the links. Thanks.

    I have tried very hard to solve the links problem,
    and finally found the following method. It works for me. 🙂

    Please check this free Joomla Slide Show module:
    http://www.rocketwerx.com/products/rokslideshow/overview

    After installation, you will find that the slideshow position is incorrect.
    You can fix it by going to Paritti template css file, i.e. template_css.css
    line# 954-961

    I changed it like this:

    #ja-slideshow {
    padding-top: 29px;
    padding-left: 42px;
    float: left;
    width: 328px;
    height: 220px;
    overflow: hidden;
    }

    Gook luck to everyone having the same concern. 🙂
