For some reason by default the mask for the slideshow is not visible. With Firebug, I see this bit of code for the slideshow mask:

element.style {
display: block;
height: 340px;
opacity: 0;
position: absolute;
visibility: hidden;
width: 970px;
}

When I disable the opacity and visibility, the mask appears as I would like. Question is, how do I make this mask appear permanently?
