    Hello everybody,

I have installed JA ORES and changed “something” 😉 I don’t know what I did, but since this morning the menu on the right side of the Slideshow is missing:

    Can anybody provide help?

Question 2: when I add pictures (png with transparent background) to the slideshow articles they are shown with black bars on top and bottom of the picture…

Thank you all a lot in advance!

Update: I managed to fix the “Menu” Problem…

Can somebody give me an advice how to fix the black bars in pictures?

Addition: somehow the slideshow doesn’t care about where the picture is located in the article… It is always displayed on the left side….

Hey, without looking at the backend configuration, it is hard to say, but the “black bars” problem could be that the size of the images is incorrect for the display- whether or not there is a resize images button? Be aware that the files need to be of sufficient quality for best resizing. I hope this helps. SEO tips? http://www.seosearchengineexperts.com.au is one of my Joomla sites. If I was looking at your site backend, I would fix it in 10 mins, check all the settings for the module, espec. the size, and the dimensions of the image files in the directory being sourced for the slideshow. Cheers. Pete

    hi switspot,

In the module setting, under the ADDVANCED SETTINGS panel you select the field of Thumbnail Mode to Using image source
i think that should help !

Changing it to “image source” didn’t really solve the prob 😀 Now the picture is as big as the whole slideshow 😀

It seems to me as if the slideshow module tries to generate a thumbnail?! Why? And can I switch it off?
This would explain why it’s not possible to have a picture on the right side of the text…

    Any help appreciated 🙂

    Problem solved 🙂

Saving the pictures with 650 x 330 and transp. background works 🙂

    Thank you all!
