I’ve been trying to fix this for over a week and have read through all of the threads on slideshows, set up a sample page through Joomlart and copied the settings, and installed the Quickstart template, but no luck.
I want my Slideshow to appear in the same position as the JAErio Sample. When I go to assign a module position, there is no “Slideshow” position. So I’ve tried going into the template and adding a “Slideshow” block, but it doesn’t show up when I go back to re-assign the module position.
I’m certain there’s something simple I’m missing or doing wrong, but I just can’t find it.

If you installed the quickstart and enabled the sample data in the installation phase, you then have an exact copy of the demo which includes the slideshow automatically in the standard slideshow position, in your extensions/modules look for slideshow 2 and make sure it’s published.

November 15, 2011 at 3:27 am #424666Hi marcre3363!
If the drop down does not show it in the module positions, just type it in and SAVE.1 user says Thank You to Blaine for this useful post
November 15, 2011 at 4:24 am #424674Thanks, Blaine. That did the trick; I didn’t realize it was that simple.
My backend settings never looked like the image you posted, even after reinstalling the template twice and then overwriting that data with the Quickstart file.
I’ve done more than a dozen Joomla installations and have used a number of Joomlart templates, but this was the first time I couldn’t google or forum search to figure the problem out on my own. Hopefully it’s the last as well. Thanks again.
