Ok, thanks to Hainn and mj343 (i think that’s it…) for helping me. I had to purchase some tutorials and do my homework a little more but I also switched from Netfirms to another host, and I successfully uploaded the QuickStart folder and got the Demo to work. Looks freakin awesome! I love it.

One question, anybody know why the slideshow doesn’t work? It’s there, but it’s not doing the little slide and bounce to the left….

Also, I’m trying to make some changes in Global Config and it’s saying it won’t write to the configuration.php file. I remember from a tutorial that there was something I was supposed to do, but can’t remember specifically what it was…

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Please change property of configuration.php file to wriable , now , it is “read-only” file.

That would be to change configuration.php to 777, but remember to change it back when you are done with your changes.

Well I didn’t realize this but I was just leaving out my FTP info. Once I typed that into the top of the screen, it let me change my session settings. and I didn’t have to go into chmod mode to change the settings of the configuration.php file. thanks!
