Hello all, I’m wondering if you can help me with the following problem:

Once the page has loaded, whenever I resize the browser the main slide of the frontpage slideshow reduces in size accordingly. This gives a really weird result, as you can see in the following screenshot:

Does anyone know how I can make main slide stay the same, regardless of the browser window?

Hi,

If you are trying to resize your browser to a smaller size than the slideshow has then this is normal because there is no other way to resize the slideshow again

Thanks for the response pacsm, but the problem is that the main slide behaves as if it does not have a fixed width. Can’t the slideshow just ‘center’ in the resized browser – like the rest of the layout ? One would expect the main slide to remain 960px regardless of the window.

Hi,

You could probably try a different layout style as this particular one has no width ( As you can see the slideshow will expand as wide as your screen resolution can support, that’s the effect that has been chosen for this layout )

But JA Slideshow supports by default some more layout profiles you can use!
