September 12, 2011 at 10:53 pm #168476Joomla 1.7 – Slide Show navigator not showing more than 4 articles. I increased the Max Articles Display to 6 and the Number of displayed items to 6 but did not work. Cleaned the cash.

September 12, 2011 at 11:16 pm #412266Can you show us a screenshot of your parameter screen for your slideshow – so we can see how you’ve identified and configured your slides?

September 13, 2011 at 5:30 am #412308You know what I would try . . . . create a temporary site using our Demo Builder (from the template’s demo page). Once it’s set up, go into the Admin Panel/Module Manager and see the configuration settings for how it is set up for the demo. Cross-reference those settings with your current ones and see if they match.
Also, make sure you DO have all six images within your images/stories/slideshow folder (or wherever the slideshow images are kept).

September 13, 2011 at 5:57 am #412315This is temporary demo site with default Joomla 1.7 installation. I did not customize anything yet. Just started playing with it. I believe something wrong with the default Joomla deployment. I really do not think the images are the problem because 5th and 6th navigator buttons not appearing at all. But when I click next button (arrow) 5th and 6th slides appears.

September 13, 2011 at 7:55 am #412334A quick update. When I reduce the value (red one) 5th article appearing as you see below. Obviously we need to increase width of navigator. How can I do that? I cannot see any relevant settings in the parameters.

This is actually a spacing and CSS issue . . .Within the slideshow parameters, you should set “Mark Width” to “auto.”
Also, if you will notice, the size of the slideshow viewing area is 980. Then you have/want 6 navigation items at 165px ea.
165 x 6 = 990 …. 10px over the 980px width.To test this out, you can indicate “overflow:scroll” or overflow:display” in your style2 css

September 13, 2011 at 6:09 pm #412433Thanks Tom but the link that you have given not allowing me to see the posts (permission issue). 165×6 is not a problem. I made 160×6 and still the same. Auto also did not help. Its interesting that we can set the width to 980 but not navigation. I think that should be fixed.
