December 17, 2010 at 7:53 pm #157579Is there a documented procedure for using slideshow skins or themes from other templates. For example, I was trying to use the JA Social slideshow on another template. I tried 2 different ways.
First, I installed the latest Slideshow 2 module (2.2.0) and I selected the skin called Social. The results were not good and didn’t look close to the original theme in the JA Social template.
Second, I installed the slideshow module from the JA Social template and copied over the slideshow2.css file, along with the slideshow images. Again, results were not good. Am I missing something here? I didn’t think it would be that hard, but I have spent hours on this and I can’t find any documentation. Thanks.

December 17, 2010 at 8:34 pm #367386You will have to make sure the .class names and #id’s are the same and also check that the css paths are correct. Should work though. Make sure you also copy over the assets or images folder.

Hi Scotty. Thanks. So, should I be using Option 1 or 2 that I noted above? Right now, I used the second option. I can see my images, but it looks like the navigation area is shifted to the right. I’m using the same exact settings as in the Social template. I copied over the images and the class names look to be the same. Not sure where to find the ID’s. By the way, I’m testing this on the Ores template.
