I am using the JA slideshow module. I am trying to change the images for the articles but nothing will update. I have deleted the old photo, the image file is active, the old image doesn’t go away – ever.
I know I am missing something basic but can’t figure out what it is.
I have the cache set to off in the module and in global. I have also cleared my computer cache and checked it on two other computers.
Shouldn’t I just be able to select the image I want in the article and have it show up?

July 7, 2014 at 4:01 pm #541430Have you tried clearing your cache – both browser and JAT3?
(not a surefire fix … but sometimes it “kick starts” things)July 7, 2014 at 4:17 pm #541432Tried it. It didn’t help.
Darn.

You deleted the old photo from the article itself …. or from your images folder …. or both?
I assume you’ve uploaded your desired images to your images folder (in your site server files) …. correct?
July 7, 2014 at 5:27 pm #541440I deleted the image from the media manager. The new one was uploaded to the same folder and selected into the article.

I did have a look at the problem and see the image name in folder image are same with old image files. I have solved it directly on your site. Next time you can fix it using FTP and removing /public_html/images/resized folder. This folder will be auto created when you reload your site..
July 10, 2014 at 12:34 pm #541869Ok, thank you for looking. I just have a clarification question.
If I delete the resized folder (via FTP), make sure the articles contain the image I want, then reload the page, the images should refresh – correct?
I tried that. I deleted the original resized folder. Loaded the page (after making sure the new image was in the article intro image) and boom – the old image popped up again! I deleted the original image file and inserted the new one. Upon loading the page, no image was shown. The only way I can get the image to change is by naming it the same as the old image. That doesn’t seem right.
I am just stumped on this one.

July 11, 2014 at 9:25 am #541958I know you could not change filename in each articles on your site and you have to change from image folder with filename the same, but contents are different. You only need to get rid of /public_html/images/resized folder and the content in new images filename will be updated. Hope it helps.
July 11, 2014 at 12:58 pm #541981Here is the best part – I even created a new article with brand new images. The new article pulls in the image from the previous article. This slideshow is awesome. I don’t even want to count the number of hours I have spent trying to figure this out.
Someone? Anyone? Tips that might work for me? HELP!!

July 11, 2014 at 2:52 pm #541984hi,
Did you try the Ninja lead’s last suggestion? Give it a try please.
July 14, 2014 at 12:28 pm #542248I have tried the suggestion a hundred times. The image never updates. I also can’t get two different photos to show. The intro image and the article image are always the same – no matter what two images I pick, no matter if I delete the entire image/resized folder.
I am at a complete loss.
July 14, 2014 at 12:30 pm #542249The only way I can get a change is to change the article image. Changing the intro image doesn’t do anything. Was that the whole issue? Am I only supposed to use the article image? I guess I thought the intro image was for the slideshow. Oops!

You don’t change image in each articles. Please give me folder image source and destination, I will help you out.
