February 28, 2009 at 9:07 pm #138678The earlier version of ja_slideshow had troubles with links. The new version is mostly fixed, but behaves differently in IE vs Ffox. In IE only the description is linked. In Firefox the entire image and words are linked. Since the demo site is linked to #, it cannot be verified unless you are working on your own copy.
This issue shows itself in a different way that is more important to me. Slideshow2 has an option to show the description only when you mouse over the image. But in IE7 the desciption only shows when you mouseover the spot where the hidden text “should” be. But of course it is hidden so no-one will know. In FireFox the text appear if you mouse over the image, as it should.
I put up a copy of JA_COOPER with these settings active at http://www.joomlasystems.com/cooper/ and have attached a picture
These two problems are related. I care about this because I wish to stretch the slideshow images to full width and have the Description show only when you mouseover the image. That is the intent of this option, but it does not work in IE7.
In addition, the “Show Description When…” option has an “Always” setting. But this setting does the opposite and just turns off the description. It is easy to fix in the XML simply by changing ALWAYS to NEVER, but is that what JA had in mind?
