November 20, 2010 at 1:54 am #156610This is a great template. I installed it in my localhost with quickstart and it works as demo
But the problem is it is very very slow, it takes about 40-45seconds to show up the homepage or any other page. it is quite different from the demo site which is very fast. I did not see any comment regarding the speed posted in this forum. Wondering if anybody else has the same problem, or if you can help me to figure out what is the problem and how to improve the performance of this great website.

You go to the template’s configuration, you disable the development mode, and turn on the cache function, enable the Opitimize CSS, JS Function. and check the site again

November 30, 2010 at 2:07 am #364746Hi Tienhc,
Thanks. Actually I’ve figured out the problem. what i did is to set both Opitimize CSS, Opitimize JS to NO, then the download time dropped dramatically from 40 seconds to less than 5 seconds. Disable the development mode and enable the cache do help improving the performance but that’s not the main reason why the system is iddling for more than 30-40 seconds. What I believe it is Opitimize CSS and JS function takes long time trying to combine all CSS and JS files at the backend before downloading the website. Wondering if you can take a test for even the blank template of T3 Framework and set the default setting of Opitimize CSS and JS function for templates as “NO”, which may help a lot of new users avoiding this kind of unexpecting slow speed.

Tanks for you command.
I had the same problem as fanzb.
A very slow life site.
I do what you succest and its works much faster.
But what I don’t understand is why special this template is slower then others?
Can you explane this? May be I can learn someting about it.
Is there a general document who discribe to make the template’s faster?.
Thanks for your anwsers.Mitchel
