My site is really slow on JA Tona template,

Connection Rate Download Time
14.4K 246.47 seconds
28.8K 134.03 seconds
33.6K 117.97 seconds
56K 79.42 seconds
ISDN 128K 39.31 seconds
T1 1.44Mbps 23.14 seconds

My other sites are around 2 seconds and last night I spent 5 hours trying to reduce the size of everything and the template ended up broken and I had to reinstall it. Any ideas on how to make the template more compact? I have used gzip and taken off the top nav bar but it is still 23 seconds (half my traffic leave because of it being so slow) any help would be great. Thanks so much.

Get the YSlow add on for Firefox.
It’s pretty good at narrowing down where the lag hogs are.

I am having the same problem; the pages take way too long time to load.

I have tried with SEF enabled and disabled and also with several SEF plugins to speed up the system, but nothing seems to help. :((
