    Hello,
You helped me add a “left” position to float a menu module next to content on select pages.
This was done apparently in the default template.css.
However, it does not display across all themes.
It only displays on the front page where “default” is the root theme.
Does something need to be added to the themes CSS to get the module to show up?
All the standard “user” positions DO publish across all themes. All themes inherit the standard module positions.
It appears that they do not inherit the new “left” position. This also includes the “right” position which is included as a selectable module position with the template. I noticed, however, that “right” is not shown as an option on the “all positions” view of your demo site.
I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this baffling issue.

Here is an example of a problem page: http://jvtestbed.com/index.php/social-network The module has been published to all pages in “left” position but is only appearing on the front page.

The answer is in the XML layout files, accessed through the template manager. I had to copy and paste the “left” position into all XML layouts being used for various sections. This is a complicated site which employs multiple themes, each of which has its own XML layout file. Here’s a tutorial http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/Guides#Layout_Variations. Pretty neat, but I sweated several days on this with no reply from Support.
