Hello –

I am looking for help in finding a SMS component for Joomla. We are finding our target audience prefers to receive hot-off-the-press news via text messages. I need something that is easy to install, easy to understand and easy to use – and comes with a manual that is not too technical – and an automated subscribe/opt in system of some kind.

I hope this makes sense. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

Thank you. I have been there and looked around – have you used any of these? And if so, how easy are they to use? This is a new area to me and I don’t want the most complicated thing out there. I know “simple” and was hoping for a recommendation from others who have used this with joomlart templates!

All of them will work with JA templates though only 2 in the list are Joomla 1.7 ready.

All I can suggest is that you try them out and if you run into any template related issues we can help though we could not help with actual third party product faults as I am sure you can understand. These kinds of plugins are probably not used by many so I doubt that many here would have tried them.

OK – I understand the 3rd party issue. I will give this some thought and perhaps by the time I have to make a decision, khoand may have some insight from his friends. Thank you for the assurance on the JA templates. Hopefully this will be an easy process. I will let you know if I have problems with the template and I will also let you know if this works out well for us in case anybody out there may also be interested in integrating SMS into their website.
