If it doesn’t work it could be a database problem.

I think the best place for you to look would be the forums at joomla.org. They are going to be very used to walking people through those steps and the documentation is there already.
Advice is to download a product called akeeba and do a backup. And do them very regularly as you are learning. I do! :laugh:

January 28, 2012 at 4:16 am #435831Didn’t solve the issue but i just removed the menu css file prior to uploading the template so everything works out smooth !!! if you find a easier way post it for future reference thank you !!!
