JSN SLIDESHOW COMPONENT WORKS PERFECTLY IN DROID J1.7.5 BUT NOT ON IPHONE.

THIS IS THE RESPONSE FROM JOOMLASHINE:

I have just checked your problem, and figured out the problem is that your current template load some javascripts files, what causes an error on your page:
    “$(document.body).adopt is not a function
    $(document.body).adopt(this.overlay, this.window);”

and it affects to JSN ImageShow, too. In addition, To confirm that it’s right, I switched default template to “rhuk_milkyway” and checked JSN ImageShow on my Iphone and the result is It works fine. Please contact template authors.

I URGENTLY NEED TO SOLVE THIS.
    ANY IDEAS? :((:((

    Hi

    I have checked your site

<blockquote>To confirm that it’s right, I switched default template to “rhuk_milkyway” and checked JSN ImageShow on my Iphone and the result is It works fine.</blockquote>

This template” rhuk_milkyway” is not installed on your site . and i don’t know if the template has an iPhone layout.

Maybe here we have a little confusion, if i switch on desktop version with my iPhone the template is showed fine also with the slideshow

but the slideshow doesn’t works on iPhone layout and is not due to any template error but at the slideshow

Do you know WHY it does not work? The slideshow mod designers are saying it is the Kranos temple (forget the milk way template)

I am using Safari on my iPhone4 and see no option to view desktop version.

Yes, it was my mistake…so forget milky way. You are saying it works in Desktop view but not in phone version.
I am so far, unable to locate that option using Safari. If it does work in Desktop view then I guess that is better than nothing but what I want to confirm is that the template itself is not preventing the slideshow from using html version (to replace flash).

    I don’t know

I’m using my iphone and when i switch to desktop version then i click on work item and make a double click on the image in that page, then the slideshow appears correctly and i can switch pictures with the arrows

You were so sweet to do that but no, the slideshow is not appearing as it should even in your desktop screenshot. There should be thumbnails and titles. I f you look here you will see how it should look: http://www.donnaforma.com/index.php/work

PS: I also don’t see the option to display desktop vs mobile. :((

    Hi

I’m sorry but if you switch your site on another template ( Beez5 for example ) then your slideshow is not working on this page

    http://www.donnaforma.com/index.php/work

So i think the problem is in the slideshow

regarding the switch to desktop button this is my screen shot

Methinks you are correct. I am harassing the JSN Imageshow designers now. I think enough people have had issues with this that at this point (I was able to discover this after hours of searching forums) that they are coming up with a patch for non-flash devices because the option parameter to do that in their extension DOES NOT WORK. They really have no business being so cavalier about telling people it was the templates fault or to just “set that parameter.” It takes HOURS to try and get answers and without the graciousness of people like you, I just want to down a box of doughnuts. So THANK you. You have been so helpful. :-*:-*:-*:-*:-*:-*:-*
