make sure you Published the social custom html module in head-search Position .
Below is code of module<ul class="social-list"> <li><a class="facebook" title="Facebook" href="https://www.facebook.com/joomlart"><i class="fa fa-facebook"></i></a></li> <li><a class="twitter" title="Twitter" href="https://twitter.com/JoomlArt"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a></li> <li><a class="google-plus" title="Google plus" href="http://www.joomlart.com/"><i class="fa fa-google-plus"></i></a></li> <li><a class="youtube" title="Youtube" href="http://www.joomlart.com/"><i class="fa fa-youtube"></i></a></li> </ul>
Also set the default Editor to None from Global config. before edit the custom html module .
Save and check.Hope it helps.

March 30, 2016 at 9:52 am #906638module is published in Head-Social position not Head-search…is this correct? its still not showing any of the buttons.. if i try to place it in head-search it removes the search icon which i do not want
