hi i have a question, how can i add new social icons besides facebook twitter and the ones that comes by default to the “connect with us” area?
i actually know where this icons are, but i don know how to link them and add them correctly.
i would appreciate your help thanks.

Hi mgarnika,

In the Connect Us module (Custom HTML) on JA University template,actually the icons you see are the background image of the <a> tabs and their own styles on hovering. See this: http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_university/templates/ja_university/images/icon-socials.png

If you want to add more social buttons, you will need to edit the background image to add more icons in it. Then put more <li> tabs in Custom ouput of Connect Us module.

Another solution is using the AddThis embed codes to display the follow buttons of your social channels:

– Register a AddThis account and follow its instructions to get the follow embed codes at https://www.addthis.com/get/follow#.Uj_5StImmPY
– Go to Joomla Administration >> Set Editor-None to Default Editor in Global Configuration.
– Replace our sample codes in Connect Us module with the AddThis embed codes. Save, and Clear JAT3 cache.
