I’m building up a site with the great Teline template, but have a question. Looking through the threads I found no answer for it.

The headline part is working very well, but in the category part not all categories will be shown. I made 6 categories, all belonging to the news-section, but only 5 of them are shown on the frontpage (at this time there is just 1 item in each category). I realised, that it is not a specific category, which is not shown, but everytime one less than set into the system (with 7 cat. 6 are shown, with 4 only 3 and so on).
In the headlines the news are picked out of every category (which is correct, because they all belong to the same news-section), just in the category part always one is missing. This is independant of the JA-News-Module-Version, I’ve tested it with 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
It seems to be a prob with the frontpage configuration. When I change the sequence of the frontpage items, the displayed content changes – each time is it the first item in the frontpage list, which is kicked out from displaying on the site.

Second question: I realised, that on the sites with content from the categories (after you pushed the “continue”- or title-buttons at the articles) and with fix content the layout runs a little bit zigzag at the border of the texts, the same with modules and e.g. their fields (on my site e. g. the newsletter subscription). On the sites of components (guestbook) the layout is ok. What could be the reason for this mismatch?

Somehow you have the Category VKPF being directed to Nachrichten which is in your menu at the top of the page. This is where your conflict is. If you unpublish Nachrichten from the menu you should have VKPF appear in your Categories. If not, go back into this category and make sure that VKPF is published to the Frontpage only.

THX for your reply – but it was not the solution, because there was never a direction from that category to the menu entry. I try do make it better by a rebuilt of the site. I just wondered that all worked fine at a local installation of the site with that template and the JA-News module. Perhaps there was a conflict with a component or module. But finding the reason for that I need to spend too much time for it – and it’s easier and faster at this time of progress of the project, when I make a restart.

Thank you! I’ve now installed everything new – and now it works. Probably it was a fault in the DB.
The other problem was caused by the Akocomment component, so I have to look for another commentary component (or I keep it out). So far everything is fine now.
