Hello everyone!
I just did a fresh install of 1.5.1 Larix quick start. Everything works perfectly except the VirtueMart module. I added somethings to my cart and tried to click on the “checkout” button. It just goes to an error screen saying that it cannot connect to the localhost.
Can anyone help me out? Is this version of VirtueMart packed with this template even work with Joomla 1.5.1?
thanks,

March 17, 2008 at 1:22 pm #242386Ok,
I tried some other things to try and fix this and I also added some visuals to help you see what is going on.
I installed the quickstart and I was thinking that the patch was not added in the quickstart 1.5, so I update the file and try it again…. it still does not work.
I add some products to my cart, then I click “checkout” That is where it stops working and says that it cannot connect to the “localhost.”
Any help please? I am I the only one with this problem??

March 18, 2008 at 5:56 pm #242504Thanks so much for your advise! Although it did not work, it definitely moved me into the right direction.
I’m a newbie to Shopping carts and joomla, but learning fast! I released that I do not have an SSL. I’m going to purchase one from someone who provides it, like my host provider.
Hopefully when it is all set up and the correct information is added, everything will be ok.
Thanks again and I’ll be posting updates on the SSL process!!!
