It does say that it is built in, so that probably means that the position is hard coded into the template.
August 1, 2007 at 5:42 am #225899So how do i use another module in that position?

August 1, 2007 at 5:45 am #225900You need to edit and add the newsflash module position. Go to Site>Templates>Module Postitions. Add newsflash to a box and press save.

August 1, 2007 at 5:49 am #225901Just publish the module you want in that position to the left position and make it the first module, and unpublish the existing newsflash module. When you unpublish the newsflash module it should automatically collapse, which will bring the left position up to take it’s place.

ops, should learn to read. Well yeah, I can’t see any issues with it.August 1, 2007 at 6:03 am #225911This is so confusing.
I just want to use another frontpage flash rotator
I published the module on the first position for the “left” position.
Un-published the newsflash module. and nothing happens

This could be caused by a number of things. Are you sure you actually published the “flash rotater” and set it’s configuration properties? I.e. show on front page, size parameters, etc.
August 1, 2007 at 6:14 am #225917That doesn’t matter, cause it will still show up.
How do you install the regular module, I tried that as well, but could not get it up.

Well it actually does matter. modules must be published and the parameters must be set correctly in order for it to show up.
Regardless of that, If you do what MiCCAS said, you should be able to get the newsflash module to show up.August 1, 2007 at 6:20 am #225919I have it published in the user1 position and the module shows up.
