Hi,
I’m having a hard time editing the source files and even the .gif files for the box-hl-br (and all the colors actually).
First I tried opening .gif file and just adjusting the color and re-saving (in PS) as a .gif. When I refresh, the box doesn’t show up right anymore. It loses it’s right-hand side border. As if it’s aligning to the right instead of the left corner. See attached screenshot.
Then I tried to edit the .psd files with the slices. I get the same results.
I’m sure it’s my own error, but can someone who’s done this point me in the right direction? How can I edit the .psd file to put something else in place of the stars then save each slice appropriately. I assumed I could leave the slices as is, but that’s not working for me. What’s the best way to approach this?

March 8, 2008 at 3:17 am #241648I remember having a similar issue when I modified the source file for the box image. If I recall correctly I solved the problem by ensuring the proper layers were turned on or off respectively when creating the slices. In other words for some of the slices some layers will be on and then when capturing other parts of the image the layers will be off.
It took some playing around in ps, but I was eventually got it going.
March 14, 2008 at 4:30 pm #242226Solved. The original .psd file slice for box-cyan-bl needs a chunk taken out of it and made transparent. It saves it too big and overlaps/covers the -br file. So a corrected version of the psd would look like it has a rectangular hole in it where the color is. Be sure to leave the bottom border and shading. Also, make background invisible.
