March 10, 2008 at 4:15 am #126477Hello –
I have been messing around with these .css files for hours now, trying to accomplish the following:
if you go to my site, http://www.pwlacrosse.org you will see that I am trying to setup a navy blue scheme. It seems to all be converted over except the menu at the top left hand corner of the template. On FireFox I have managed to get the rollover to be navy blue, but I cannot get the rollover to be navy blue in Internet Explorer (it is still a lighter blue). How can I fix this for IE.
Also, the little arrows to the left of the links still have an orange rollover. How can I fix that?
Thank You,
Greg

March 10, 2008 at 5:35 am #241783The link color is Navy blue in IE7. If you are using IE6 there may be a seperate css file for that.
Sometimes there are seperate css files for menus as well.
To change the orange arrows, you will need to edit the images associated with the menus. Those images will be in the templates images folder.
Good luck.1 user says Thank You to instantinlaw for this useful post

March 10, 2008 at 3:17 pm #241828instantinlaw,
thank you for the reply. do you know where this menu is specifically addressed in a css file because I am pretty sure I have gone into every css file and replaced the light blue hex code with the navy blue hex code. It is bothering me because I am viewing the site on IE6 and I believe this is what the people in the school district will be viewing it on as well.
I want it to display well on IE6, IE7, and firefox.
Thank You!

March 10, 2008 at 3:32 pm #241830There is no seperate css for IE6 (I just looked). The css that controls the menu is in the ja_transmenu folder, which is in the template folder. There are two css files there. You may have to modify both files.
I hope this helps.greg04 Friendgreg04

March 10, 2008 at 5:09 pm #241836instantinlaw,
thanks again for your reply. you seem to be my only chance at figuring this out, so i am hoping you can still help me.
in my “ja_transmenu” folder, there is only “ja.transmenu.js” and “ja.transmenuh.css.” neither file references the hex code “fab301” (the orange in the arrow that appears on rollover…these orange arrows might be image files, but i cannot find them). in addition, any references to “3f89c3” (light blue) have also been replaced with the hex code for the navy blue that i want.
still, on IE6 there is that light blue rollover on both the arrow and the links and on firefox there is an orange rollover on the arrow.
please help!

March 10, 2008 at 6:39 pm #241844seemed to have solved the rollover color for the menu text on both FF and IE. However, I still can’t figure out how to get the arrow to be navy blue and not orange. I found a file called “bullet-menu.gif” in the /images folder which I thought was what needed to be changed, but that didn’t do the trick either.
any ideas?

March 10, 2008 at 6:48 pm #241846Problem Solved.
There is a “bullet-menu.gif” file within the default color folder that needed to be edited.
