Hi,
I would like to add these to the template but have no idea how to do it.
I read the instructions and they are not clear to me …
First there are no png files. How do I generate them from Photoshop?
Second when I enter
<script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘plain_right’, ‘http://www.joomlart.com/template/ja_villadi/images/stories/demo/plain_right’, 200, 114, ”, ”);
</script>as per description to standard module I get the code displayed instead of image.
Any ideas?
Thanks,ha le-viet Developerha le-viet

Please use the Edit HTML mode of your Rich Text Editor, or use a plain text editor.

March 7, 2007 at 4:12 am #215304Hi augustynr,
Use this
<a href="yourlink"><script type="text/javascript">
od_displayImage('plain_right', 'http://www.joomlart.com/template/ja_villadi/images/stories/demo/plain_right', 200, 114, '', '');
</script></a>But it won’t show a hand cursor when you’re using Internet Explorer. Use it if you want.

Ha Le-Viet.March 10, 2007 at 11:38 am #215477I do not understand of where I obtain I module spotlight, that is to say, as I module I use to put I cosay HTML that shows in the instructions.

March 13, 2007 at 9:08 am #215635The ‘module spotlight’ is not a seperate module, it it an addition of code to an existing module to make it different from the rest. The instructions for making a spotlight module are here
Spotlight Modules
To set up 3 eye-catching modules with transparent images compatible with all browsers (including IE6 – The PNG Destroyer) in spotlight area, you have to put this into your modules’ content <script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘your-image-ID’, ‘full-path-to-your-image-(without-the-dot-png-extension)’, width, height, ”, ”);
</script> while your-image-ID is your image’s ID, width and height is your image’s width and height in pixel.
Here’s an example <script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘plain_right’, ‘http://www.joomlart.com/template/ja_villadi/images/stories/demo/plain_right’, 200, 114, ”, ”);
</script> Then place the modules into top, user1 and user2. You’ll have three modules on the spotlight, using PNG 24bit transparent image and it will blend well with the black and glossy background.March 15, 2007 at 9:29 am #215842What do you mean with “add to your modules’content” ???? what’s that ???? what module are you talking about ??? Should i pick up any module, copy it 3 times , then assign it to the 3 different positions (user1, user2 and user 10) in order to have this spotlight thing working ???
Sorry but it’s still not clear top me !!!Michael Casha FriendMichael Casha

March 15, 2007 at 10:16 am #215849Daniel, you need to create a new module, then choose the HTML edit button which will be on the editor. Then, copy and paste the above code.
March 15, 2007 at 12:01 pm #215858Hi again…well i tried ans i eventually get a better result now, but no image on the frontend…
I did paste and modify the code to my needs, but as soon as i save it, the ” ‘ ” signs become ” ' ” resulting in the code to appear on the frontpage and not the image….

March 15, 2007 at 1:35 pm #215863This could be due to your wysiwyg editor. Try to go to user management and set “no wysiwyg editor” as default for your user and try to paste the code in again. That should do the trick.
March 15, 2007 at 1:53 pm #215871Absolutely it worked !!! great thank you 😉

March 21, 2007 at 4:32 pm #216250How do I add 6 modules, 3 more below the existing ones user1,user2,top? If I try to publish another module in user1 position for example, the module is hidden below the pathway. Perhaps I need to display a random image on top and then spotlight modules below…
