    Hi,

My website will not work properly. I am using ja_teline_iv v. 1.2.2. When I upgrade to Joomla 2.5.0, or 2.5.1, I get blank pages on the Home Page when logged in. All members experience this issue. When will teline_iv be updated for Joomla 2.5+ ?

What steps did you take to update your site?

I first used the core Joomla update tab in admin. That didn’t work.

Then, I uploaded a full version of Joomla 2.5.1, unzipped it in my root, and then deleted the installation folder. That didn’t work.

I finally had to recover a backup of my site with akeeba, and that’s what’s live now.

Walt.</blockquote> This is not a teline4 issue as I have it locally running on 2.5.1 w/o major issues.

My site works with zoo, rockrettheme, jxtc, and the core joomla templates. why not teline_iv? Also, I just tried a fresh quickstart install of teline_iv, without extras, it does not work when updated to joomla 2.5.1.

Teline IV has not yet been updated to work with Joomla 2.5.x. Announcemnets have been made in the JA blog details what will be done and when – http://www.joomlart.com/blog/news-updates/joomla-25-templates-and-extensions-update-and-our-roadmap

Teline IV does work but there are issues. I can also see your site running Teline IV so it appears you have fixed the initial problem, or have you downgraded? I cannot check as you have some security in place preventing me from going to your admin panel.

walt did you update T3 et al ?

    Walt please do the following….

    1. update J! to 2.5.1
    2. update all ja product
    3. uninstall ja-bulletin and ja-twitter
    4. reinstall both from fresh download
    5. update both via jaem
    6. enjoy the site.

while I won’t promise this will make it bug free I will confirm that it works including login, with no OBVISOUS errors.

NOTE: do NOT just reinstall over the top of bulletin and twitter, they need to be REMOVED and reinstalled.

Hi Phil, I had downgraded, and am working on using another template. I need something with a lighter footprint anyway, plus, I cannot wait. My members are screaming bloody murder.

Thanks for the look see though.

Okay, I’ll give that a shot before beginning a new site…

    Thanks for the heads up.

A lighter template that does similar would be JA Nex. I think that is a great one. From my tests so far there are only minor bugs when using J2.5.1 but if you update as per Troy the problems really are minor.

Thanks for the suggestion Phil, but Nex is not one of my preferred templates. I think it’s time for me to develop one of my own. The 960 grid system seems to be a good place to start.

By the way, I updated as per Troy’s suggested resolution, and still no luck.

Welp! I can’t belive it. I found the problem.

All I had to do was set the home page to something OTHER THAN featured articles.

    Problems gone… so far.

    😉
