    I’m trying to adapt this template to a very clean minimalistic format. I keep going through stylesheets and graphics trying to find what I need to make these changes and I’m getting frustrated.

    I’m using the splitmenu choice which includes a drop menu. The site is http://www.designedbywelch.com if you want to take a look.

    I’m trying to get the tabs to be just tabs surrounded by white space. I’m having trouble getting the leftmost tab to work correctly. If I change the image for the active left, it seems to negatively affect the other tabs. And I can’t figure out how to get the inactive left for the first selection to be just a tab with a white background (without the little slice of gray to the left).

    I’m also trying to figure out which of the many menu css files will let me change the color of the text in my top and drop menus.

    The settings in my index.php file are:

    ja_width_default = ‘narrow’;
    ja_color_default = ‘default’;
    ja_font_size_default = 3;
    ja_tool = 3;
    ja_menutype = 1;

    I guess I’m not as smart as I thought I was.

    SOLVED

    Using a combination of the base template_css.css file and the splitmenu css file, I was able to get the menu text formatting resolved.

    I’ve almost gotten my issues with the top tags resolved. Just have to figure out why the last tab image is messing up now that I’ve changed some of the images.

    Finally solved through trial and error.
