    hello there,

of late, i would intermittently see the error “no input file specified” when i tried to access my front-end and backend of my website.
my website subpages (everything except homepage) . i looked it up. seems like a fairly common problem. i used the following websites to guide me to resolve the problem :

    http://www.templatemonster.com/help/joomla-troubleshooter-no-input-file-specified.html
    http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2710846
    http://support.godaddy.com/groups/web-hosting/forum/topic/joomla-no-input-file-specified/

all of them say about the same thing 🙂

so, now i do not get the erroe.
    BUTTTTTT i get a 404 – page not found error instead !!!!

i did NOT change any url, re-directs or subpage locations. just the htaccess file and php5 rename.
could this affect my file structure? are these changes even related?

godaddy suggests i reset my server history to a week…. which i am assuming may get the urls to work but bring back the “input file” issue?
is that a good idea? or is there a better way to “re-establish” a new file structure?

    advice advice please 🙂

    Hi anjalivasan
Your site has a problem with htaccess, please check rewrrite_base config in .htaccess file. Now, i just disable ‘Use URL rewriting’ function in SEF setting for your site and now it is working well.

    Regards,
