This may be a no-brainer…… On all Virtuemart pages, the JA Newsticker & Cpanel are not displaying and the Mega Menu will not display pull-downs (CSS menu does display pull-downs correctly). Module assignment is set to display on all pages. Any thoughts?

    J1.7
    VM 1.9.8f
    Xampp 1.7.3

    Thanks!

As far as I am aware, there is no stable VirtueMart release that is yet compatible with J1.7

So, this is actually somewhat interesting because – unless you are using one of the VirtueMart release-candidates – you should not have been able to install VirtueMart within a J1.7 environment.

    EDIT:
Ahh, it seems you are jumping the gun a bit and using the VM 2.0 RC2 release.

The new release also contains already an update function done by akeeba release system, dont wonder that it shows you running virtuemart 1.9.8, the final should just get the number 2.0.0.

Personally, I do not use RC releases until they are released as stable – for exactly the potential “bug” reasons as you are describing above.

Thank you….I’ll just live with the issue until the stable version of VM comes out. Looks like they are getting close. Thanks!

This is due to a JQuery conflict. Try disabling:
    + Using the Virtuemart jQuery
    + Using the product Scripts
+ Using the Script ajax Countries / Regions
This will result in your modules working properly… but you will now encounter cart processing issues. I am trying to work through this, but have mine disabled so I can get the cart looking the way i want. I am hoping that by combining some of these files together, I can fix the problem.
