Hello all,
I got some problems with some non-Latin characters in Menu.
Some do not go well when I click Menu in Polish. It disturbs.
This problem comes only in Menu, NOT in articles.
For example “ś” appears as ś, “ł” as ł.
Hope someone may help me to fix this problem.Regards,
YohanesJanuary 18, 2011 at 5:09 pm #372479Hi Yohanes,
on exactly the same problem (german special characters) I am working since the last three hours. It seems to me like the T3-Template-Cache does not work.
Try the following: Click on “Clean T3-Cache” on the top of your backend. When the cache is cleaned, reload the frontpage. And then reload it a second time.
In my template the following is happening:
– When the cache es cleaned the site is very slow, but all special-characters appear right
– As soom as the page is cached, it is much quicker, but all cached special-characters are broken.Is it the same on your page?
All the best, Julian!

January 20, 2011 at 3:51 am #372802hi all,
please check your current font used, in css/menu/mega.css, at this line:
.ja-megamenu ul.level0 li.mega a.mega {
font-family: Verdana,"Segoe UI",sans-serif;
font-size: 120%;
font-weight: 500;
text-shadow: 0 1px 0 #000000;
}
and also whether you are using google fonts or not. The mega menu support unicode characters well, the issue may come from your specific system.It would be very useful if you share you site link here, I can have a close look then.
kind regards.
January 20, 2011 at 4:44 pm #372892Hi Hungnd,
Thank you for your reply.
The current fonts being used:.ja-megamenu ul.level0 li.mega a.mega {
color: #fae9d4;
font-size: 120%;
font-family: Verdana, “Segoe UI”, sans-serif;
padding: 15px 20px;
font-weight: 500;
text-shadow: 0 1px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 1);
position: relative;
z-index: 9999;I see gfont.php in JAT3 folder. I think google fonts are there.
It is my test-site experiencing a problem with some Polish characters in Main Menu: http://www.misafa.org/epifany/

I have sent you my admin account.
Thanks a lot!
YohanesJanuary 22, 2011 at 9:37 am #373149Hi all!
I have found a solution.
Thanks for Hungnd who resolved a problem in one menu. I did for the other menu.
I understand then that we deal with 2 things in language translation component: “Label: Name” and “Label: Menu Alias”. In “Label: Menu Alias” we can let any character code to be there.
But in “Label: Name” we can’t; here we have to put alphabetic characters, not the codes.The problem has been resolved! Satisfied participating in this Forum!
Once again: many thanks to Hungnd and everybody in this Forum!:laugh:
Regards,
YohanesP.S. I want to give thanks icon to Hungnd but do not know how to.
