    But why is it putting my picture to the left of the text? i put the picture in the middle of the article, after the first paragraph.
    (and i didn’t put dimensions in the picture, it’s the same size as the uploaded picture)

    The template has what are called overrides. Those overrides force a specific layout on the front page and the blog page but not on article pages. The idea being you have a short intro text then the readmore link. When you click on the readmore link you would see everything that is after the readmore layed out exactly as you would expect. All JA templates do this which is why the frontpages of them look so consistant and well designed It means the end user has less effort to put in laying out their front page. If you want to remove that feature then that is possible.
