Hi! I’m new at JoomlArt and I’m trying some of your templates on a localhost. I have installed them using the quickstart but I want to make some changes.

I have read several times that the best way to do this is by making changes on the .psd sources files, but I don’t know how to do it. I think there are sites that convert .psd files into Joomla templates but I think that by doing this I will not have all the good properties of JA templates.

I think it would be a great help to have a manual or guide about how to edit the templates using the .psd source files, a practical and complete example of how to maximize the use of the .psd to generate a new design step by step of one template. Even better if it is a videotutorial.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi benteveo,

Thanks for the proposal, I understand your idea. However, the problem of how to convert an html layout from .psd files is generic, and you can find many tutors on Web that can help you. Thats not JA-specific issue, please understand. Once you can master that initial step, you can go to the next step of how to create a joomla template. We have detail guildlines to help you in this, please check our wiki page:

    Sincerly.

I understand about the distinction between the JA issues and general psd to html – its just that the source file isn’t sliced but the images in the templates are.

It would be useful to be able to spot where it all comes form.
