Hi

You can install the spanish language from your backend

Go to Extensions -> Manage -> Install Language ->

Hi

It translates only the Joomla core features , if you want to translate articles etc etc you will need of a specific extension doing this because there is no spanish content avialable.

You can find Joomlart free extension Ja Multilingual and install it
