My website is becoming slower and slower, is there anything i can do?

Optimised and repaired database.
Cleaned cache

Any way how i can test what is slowing my website down? according to the host, hostgator, everything should be fine?

I notice for example slower loadtimes and typing happens with delay , escpecially with IE8
