Does anyone know how to speed up the loading of the slideshow?

I have cache enabled in global config and in my template (blazes). I have also cut the images down to about 10 and saved tham as jpegs at 60% so they are about 40kb each.

The slide show ids still the last thing to load on the page and on slow connections takes quite a while to show up.

Can anyone spot the problem? http://www.skisserrechevalier.com
