I love Teline 3 but the loading time was really disturbing. After a long period (I am really terrible at coding:) ) I finally obtained a reasonable speed (not enough but better).

Here, I listed what I have done to take a “C” from Yslow. I hope it also helps you.

-I removed and deleted all the modules that I am not using.
-I optimized all the images, bu I didn’t reduce the number of images. If you have less images, your site can do better.
-I used this plugin to compres and combine Javascript, CSS and HTML codes. When I activated this plugin, I had so many JS problems but by trial and error method I finally solved everything and got a Yslow grade of C for the main page. I attached the configuration of this plugin for my site, but every detail is important while you are configuring it. If your site doesn’t work properly, do not give up and keep trying! You can exclude any JS or CSS in case of a problem (but you can find it only by trying – in this case I have exluded these ones : slimbox2.js,jquery.js,jquery.fancybox-1.2.1.js,jquery-1.3.2.min.js,ja.ddmod.js )

Note: I only tried to improve my Yslow grade.
I disabled some unused plugins like JaZin.
I am not using caching and Gzip in my site.
I am using a Godaddy – shared hosting.
If you disable a module, you can also remove remaining codes from your Css, but i didn’t do.

I hope these also works for you.
