I want to have this menu:
    mainmenu: A – B – C – D (on the top)

    if A then
    menu on the left side: A1 – A2 – A3 – …
if A1 the contextA1 in body module, if A2 then contextA2 in body module, etc …
and the menuitems on the left items stay visible.

    if B then
    menu on the left side: B1-B2 – A3 – …

    If C then
    menu on the left side: C1-C2 – C3 – …

    ….

    if … then …
    ….
    ….

Can I do this with the split menu item (I looked at the demo – something like the menu item “layout”) and how it works ?
    Someone can explain me ?
    TIA

I too would like a menu system like this.

To clarify, what we need is for the mainmenu to be shown across the top.
Down the left-hand side, we just need to show the submenu items for the menu item that was selected at the top, not the entire mainmenu tree.

    Can this be done easily?

    Thanx

Yes, it is easy – the “menu on the top” is made by making a mainmenu, and when you make submenu’s on the menuitems of the mainmenu, this submenuitems are the menuitems on the left side.

    hi,
    did you solve it?
I still get the first level of the mainmenu even on the left side…
maybe there is something wrong in my cp menu/modules settings.
    thanks a lot
