December 31, 2011 at 8:47 pm #172327I’m putting a sports site together using the Teline IV template.
I would like to allow users to register to be able to post comments, upload files to me, etc., and give them the ability to log in using their Facebook account, if they have one. Better yet, tie it also to their Twitter account, such that if/when the post to the site, that it automatically posts to their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Any guidance on components, approach while staying within the framework is appreciated.

December 31, 2011 at 9:11 pm #432051Thanks for the link.
I was wondering about using components within Joomlart. For example, as I write this post, the WYSIWYG editor provides for both an image and a video upload. In order to minimize integration issues between other non Joomlart extentions, I was hoping for suggestions for those contained within this site.

January 1, 2012 at 2:01 am #432071Well, there are settings that you can configure within your site administration for user access/permissions – for example, allowing specified users certain permissions and/or access to specified sections of the site administration so as to write articles – but requiring your approval/editing prior to submission.
Here is an informational resource to provide some additional info on this topic –> http://docs.joomla.org/Help16:Users_Options
Another possible (and even better/more productive) option is setting up a separate instance of the same template that you can/will use for DEVELOPMENT purposes only – like a subdomain to your primary site that you can call something like dev.yoursite.com. You can then allow access and specify permissions to those Users you choose so they can write/submit articles just as they would on the live/production site – but they stay on this dev.yoursite.com site until you review and approve . . . at which time you can move them over to the live/production site.
(this is actually very similar to the process JoomlArt uses for our blog articles, announcements, updates, etc.)
Otherwise, there are various extensions available for content submission –> SEE HERE
