Create a module type > Joomlart Advanced custom module > Type > Spotlight.
Select the position spotlightp1 in this and publish module on section position. (spotlight-tp-1)

using the JA ACM spotlight module you have to create these position and publish module on them.

In spotlight there is no slideshow. Please take a look on template documentation for more module configuration.

Also to check the configurations of module i suggest you to install quickstart package on localhost and follow the documentation.

Are you sure you have download all extension comes with template and installed them? Because template need all complimentary extension to make it like demo.
Besides you can follow my suggestion in last post to make site like demo.
