Published 3 spotlight modules, everything was working this morning, and when I changed menus around the spotlights stopped working. Undid the changes and still nothing.
Settings for user1:
show title: no
module order:2
access level: public
title: Upscale condo
image path: set and working
Full text: some text
Module Height: 200
background color: fa9b13
Background Transparent: 70
Expand Height: 120
Menu items: ALL
skipped fields are empty.
Any suggestions?
While I was waiting for a help I decided to reinstall the component, and unfortunately it did not work.
The next troubleshooting step was to disable all other components (1 by 1) and writing the steps down.
The first module I disabled was “Random Property” which came with EZ Realty, and voila, the spotmodules worked!
The problem must be with the “mod_ezrealty_random” module. The temporary solution was to publish spotmodule on some pages, and the random properties on others.
I’ll buy myself a cold beer as a reward for fixing the issue.
Interesting. Mine never worked. But I had no other modules running on the page.
But I had html page in the content of the page (you do not even want to know why) and when I took that out, the modules started to work.
Seems that the module is crashing with other scripts. Thanks for pointing me the right way.
