I have an SSL certificate and would like to make one of the main buttons on the top menu to have the https only.
Is that possible or now. I’ve read that Joomla 1.13 is capable of doing just that as the 1.5 does have SSL enable button but is yet to be fully released….
Please help.
Thanks

April 2, 2008 at 9:36 am #244051Yo can go to Menu>Main Menu> find the menu link you want to use SSL, and Parameters – System tab, at the very bottom there you have that option: SSL Enabled.
I am not sure if it will work out for you, but give it a try and see how it is going.April 2, 2008 at 11:13 am #244067Thanks for that, but the thing is SSL enabled in version 1.5 does not work, and I need a way to enable SSL for few pages and not all.
Any ideas….
I am lost in the world of Joomla!!

April 3, 2008 at 8:35 am #244206What should the button link to?
April 3, 2008 at 9:52 am #244218Thanks for the reply…
say the domain is http://ineedhelpplease.com and you have Home | About Us | FAQ | Members
as top menu, I want the Member button to point to https://ineedhelpplease.com/members so that clients go to the secure page to signin as members.
Now when they click any other button like Home or FAQ they should go to http and not https.
I am not sure if that is clear what I am trying to do here…..
Thanks
