Hello,
I just downloaded JA Multilingual, it looks great!
I have both Bing and Google APi’s.
Before i start with the translation I’m worried about how much data I have to translate.
I take a look in myphp and I looked at table K2_items to get an idea: it’s 4.4 MB.
Bing quota is 2MB, Google have no quota, but some day limit usage (…mmh I also would have some budget limit…),
so i need (base language is italian) english, german, french, dutch, spanish, portuguese and japanese translation.
Seven lanuages! …4.4×7=30,8 MB.
It’s correct?
If i use google it will cost more or less $600.
Any suggestion about how i do?
Thanks.

Giovanni
Hey,
how i can use this component in a website with more than 300 pages.???
Please give mi some help:
– translate ONLY selected page. It’s possible?
– translate only a language.IMPORTANT: what happens when Bing quota is out and translate process is not yet terminated? next time start translating only the remaining pages?.
Please give me some support, just a little bit…..

May 14, 2014 at 7:28 am #535047JA Multilingual allows you to resume translation which means if your translation is interrupted due to some reasons (timeout, network error, quota limit, …), it will only translate the remainning item next time.
Bing Translation API allows to create free account that supports free translation up to 2M characters per month. If you are worry about cost, you can create some free account or wait for month until your account quota is reset.
May 14, 2014 at 3:38 pm #535135Thanks,
the question is:
every time a reach a full quota limit, i restart translation with new bing account, JA Multilingual translate only on non-translated urls.An example (so i verify if i understand or i’m still fool..):
First:
– Start translate
– after 200 pages, the quota is exausted.
– stop translate.
– 100 pages (of 300) untranslated.
Second, with new quota:
– Start translate
– translate only 100 pages untraslated
– Language translation completed
– Save quota for translating 100 more pages until next monthRight?
But in table K2 items, i have also unpublished items, JA multinligual translate all?
Thanks

Yes, you got it.
But in table K2 items, i have also unpublished items, JA multinligual translate all?

Yes, it translates all items, including published and unpublished ones. -
